weekend talk about the weekend

This weekend was the Paniyiri Festival in Brisbane.  Danny and I were quite excited to go to check it out... expecting there to be tons of delicious food, cool little booths and of course its Greek.

After walking 30 minutes to the said location, we were disappointed to find a required $10 entrance fee per person, a whole bunch of kids running around and nothing but 'greek' food stands like gyros, deep fried dough stuff and really loud music that resembles gypsy music.

We decided to ditch the Paniyiri Festival and have our own festival at the Little Greek Taverna in West End.
The taverna, which reminds me of the many taverna's we ate at in Greece had a delicious and authentic Greek menu, complete with simple and delish Greek salad, delish frappes similar to those we ordered beach side in Greece and fall off the bone lamb... sorry but sometimes I am a monster who occasionally eats baby animals.

Afterward we hung out at the Queen's Park... surrounded by some old buildings

Today we hung out around in the Botanical Gardens and spent the afternoon reading, eating pistachios and sparkling water... it was verry nice and relaxing.
